100 Community and Human Rights Groups Urge UN Action to Halt Imminent Executions in Singapore

6 July, 2022

INPUD joins the Network of Asian People who Use Drugs, Harm Reduction International , the International Drug Policy Consortium and 100 community and human rights organisations in urging the UNODC and OHCHR to intervene and halt two impending executions in Singapore.

Kalwant Singh and Norasharee bin Gous, are scheduled to be executed tomorrow, 7 July 2022, for drug offences in clear defiance of international human rights law. These would be the third and fourth executions carried out in Singapore this year, all for drug offences. The two open letters below call on the UNODC and the OHCHR to take the appropriate action to halt these executions.
